DUBUQUE, IA – The Waldorf men's soccer team was back on the road for a non-conference matchup against Clarke (IA) on Sunday evening. The Warriors lost 4-1.
The Pride started off strong by scoring three straight goals against the Warriors.
Waldorf managed to pull one back just before halftime, with Clarke (IA) unfortunately conceding an own goal in the 39th minute.
The Warrior defense was able to keep the Pride from only scoring one goal in the second half but were not able to produce offensively. The Pride won 4-1.
Charlie Austin-Ross (SR/Essex, UK) and Kylee Pederson (SO/Ankeny, IA) split time in goal and had one and four saves respectfully. Antonio Coutinho (SR/Lisbon, Portugal) had three shots with two on goal.
Next up for the men's soccer team is a non-conference game at home against Viterbo on Wednesday, September 6that 5 pm.
