"Proud of our effort tonight," said head coach Tyler Erwin. "From the start, we had guys diving for loose balls and creating deflections — it all started on defense. Our five solid practices set the tone for tonight's performance.

"The break helped us reenergize, refocus, and get extra shots up — and it showed. Ryan Larsen and Rece Kissinger made early shots in great rhythm within the offense. Mason Strong brought incredible energy off the bench, and Jeff Rozelle III made plays at the rim while rebounding beyond his area. It was a great team win."

Midland (7-9, 2-6 GPAC) will have a quick turnaround as it hosts No. 7-ranked Northwestern (15-0, 6-0 GPAC) on Saturday, January 4, in a conference matchup. Tipoff is scheduled for 3:45 p.m. inside the Wikert Event Center in Fremont, Nebraska.
