Offense propels Mustangs to win over Waldorf
SIOUX CITY, Iowa – The Mustangs won their first game of the Great Plains Athletic Conference season in shutout fashion Wednesday night, defeating Waldorf 2-0 at Elwood Olsen Stadium.

SIOUX CITY, Iowa – The Mustangs won their first game of the Great Plains Athletic Conference season in shutout fashion Wednesday night, defeating Waldorf 2-0 at Elwood Olsen Stadium.
Both goals were scored by Jona Fischer, scoring in the 13th minute, and added an insurance goal in the 84th minute. Fabian Andersson assisted on the first goal of the game and Tassilo Koerner on the second goal.
The Mustangs applied the pressure throughout the game, tallying 31 shots, 16 of which were on goals. Fischer had four total shots, three on goal to lead the offense.
In goal, Timon Koerber pitched a shutout, recording three saves.
Morningside is back at home against Jamestown Saturday at 5:30 p.m.
