Mustangs reach 100-point mark for 2nd straight game

FOREST CITY, Iowa – Tuesday marked another night where the Morningside University men's basketball team reached the century mark in points.

Morningside (7-1, 3-1 GPAC) had a strong first half en route to a 106-58 win over Waldorf on the road.

Every Mustang who made the trip to the north side of the state scored in the decisive win.

"Those are always fun," said head coach Trent Miller on the KMNS-AM postgame show. "Guys were making plays for each other. Ultimately, everybody scored and it's great energy going into Thanksgiving. I'm glad everyone answered the call."

Alex Wilcoxson reached a career-high with 21 points, all coming off the bench. He hit all six 3-pointers he attempted and missed just one shot all night.

"He had a great night, and he's had moments like that all season," Miller said. "His teammates believe in him, and credit to Alex for being prepared in that moment."

Joey Skoff chipped in with 16 points, while Aidan Vanderloo scored 10.

The Mustangs were 43-for-71 from the floor overall, and that included 12 made 3s. They also collected 51 total rebounds, while holding the Warriors to 34.
