Waldorf drops home game to Morningside
FOREST CITY, Iowa - The Waldorf women's soccer team hosted Morningside for a GPAC matchup Wednesday night at Bolstorff Field. Morningside would gain the conference win, 5-1.
The Mustangs got on the scoreboard quick with a goal in the third minute from Mia Stoffel. Keyera Harmon added a goal for Morningside in the 14th minute. In the 32nd minute, Waldorf's Olivia Cross got loose in front of the goalkeeper and drilled it into the net for a Warrior goal. That cut Morningside's lead to 2-1. The Mustangs did score twice more in the first half and took a 4-1 lead. Waldorf goalkeeper Lucia Serrano allowed just one goal in the second half. She had four saves in the contest.
Waldorf (0-15, 0-9 in GPAC) hosts Northwestern Saturday for senior nigt.
