Waldorf Competes in Maverick Invitational

Mankato, MN- Waldorf University's Track and Field team delivered impressive performances at the Track and Field Invitational held in Mankato, MN on April 18, 2025. The Warriors' athletes showcased their skills and achieved new personal bests, making significant strides in their college-level careers.

During this exciting meet, two Waldorf athletes set personal records. Sunel Fernandez sprinted to a time of 52.47 seconds in the 400m event, a remarkable effort that now ranks him 10th all-time in university records. Michael Williams also made headlines by running a 55.09 in the 400m and clocking 23.36 in the 200m.

In addition to the running events, the Warriors demonstrated their prowess in field events where James Robey threw an impressive 40.59m in the Hammer Throw, securing his place as the third all-time best in the university's history.

Other notable performances came from Brunelson Dominique, who competed fiercely with a 23.33 in the 200m and recorded a time of 56.23 in the 400m.

Looking ahead, the Waldorf University Track and Field team is gearing up for their next challenge at the Kip Janvrin Open in Indianola, Iowa, scheduled on April 24, 2025.
