Bio

Tom Myers joined the Waldorf University staff as Head Softball Coach in 2025.

Previously, Myers held the same position at Northeastern Junior College (NJCAA D1) in Sterling, Colorado. In seven seasons (2016-2022) with the Plainswomen, his student athletes received multiple academic and athletic honors, which include 3 NJCAA All-Americans, 1 NFCA All-American, 20 First Team All-Region IX Players, 3 Region IX Freshman of the Year, 3 Region IX Player of the Year, and over 40 Academic All-Americans.

In 2021, Myers became the winningest softball coach in program history en route to a record breaking 36-win season earning a share of the 2021 Region IX regular season conference title and appearances in the Region IX Championship in 2021 and 2022. Offensively, the 2021 and 2022 clubs finished in the top ten nationally in most categories shattering all previous program records.

In the summer of 2015, Myers managed the Sterling Xpress Collegiate Baseball Club, finishing second in the Rocky Mountain Collegiate Baseball League and falling one game short of the National Baseball Congress World Series.

Myers, a native of Sterling, Colorado began his coaching career in 2003 as a volunteer assistant at Sterling High School. His resume includes two separate stints as head baseball coach at Kimberly High School (2011-2012 and 2023-2025) where his teams finished a combined 98-28, winning four conference championships while placing state runner-up twice (2012 and 2023), third place (2024), and fourth place (2011). He received conference coach of the year four times and broke the school record for wins in a season in 2012. In addition, Myers has also spent 8 summers as head coach of Legion baseball teams in both Idaho and Colorado.

Myers played baseball collegiately at the College of Southern Idaho (Twin Falls, ID) under hall of fame coach Skip Walker. In his 2002 season, Myers was awarded Scenic West Athletic Conference and Western District Defensive Player of the Year. He finished his playing career at Colorado Mesa University but continued his academic career at Colorado State University-Pueblo, graduating in 2007 with a bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science/Heath Promotion with a minor in Physical Education.

Myers has been married to his wife Keri for 23 years and has two children Mallory (12) and Christian (21).
