Karvala Named as NSAA Women's Golfer of the Week

BISMARCK, N.D. – The North Star Athletic Association (NSAA) announced the second edition of Golfers of the Week for the 2023-24 season on Wednesday afternoon. Amanda Karvala was named as the Women's Golfer of the Week from her performance over the weekend.
"Very nice start to the fall season for Amanda," Head Coach Mark Clouse stated. "She played well against a strong field of golfers and I'm looking forward to seeing her add to her list of accomplishments on the course."
Karvala (JR/New Berlin, WI) opened the season with a 7th place finish at the Mount Mercy Fall Invite. The invite was hosted at the Hunter's Ridge Golf Course in Marion, Iowa and is a par 72 course. Karvala finished the first round with 76, followed by a second round of 85. She finished with a total of 161 strokes to secure 7th place. The women's golf team finished 4th overall.
"I can achieve the things I have with the support of my team, coaches, and dedication I have to the sport," Karvala added.
The women's golf team will compete at the two-day Buena Vista Invitational in Storm Lake, Iowa starting on Saturday, September 16th at 11 am.
