D2 Hockey Drops to Royals 3-1

ALBERT LEA, MN – The Waldorf D2 hockey team returned to their home ice for a weekend series against the Lake Region State College Royals on Saturday evening. The Warriors lost 3-1.
The Royals were first to score late in the first period to take an early lead. The second period remained scoreless.
In the third period, the Royals extended their lead to three by adding two more goals.
Stephen Mosgopoulos (FR/Markham, ON) found the back of the net for the Warriors, unassisted, late in the period.
Waldorf goalkeeper, Treyson Boesch (FR/Brandon, SD), finished the game with 49 saves.
“49 saves from Treyson Boesch kept us in the game from start to finish. Stephen Mosgopoulos scored late to hopefully give us momentum for tomorrow afternoon,” Head Coach Sean Parker said. “There’s no give up with this group; they battle until the very end.”
The Warriors are back in action tomorrow, October 8th at 12 pm against the Royals.
