Esports Finishes Regular Season
Smash Crews
Waldorf took on St. Ambrose University for week 6 of NECC super smash ultimate crews! Waldorf lost 2-0 to St. Ambrose 5 stocks to 0 both sets. Waldorf finished the season 1-5 and made strives for improvements throughout the season, the team showed large amounts of improvement over the season and now use fall break to keep refining their skills. Look forward to the spring season where the warriors will be back in action.
League of Legends
After a dominant run from your Warriors League of Legends team, they fall just short in a tight battle between Grand View University (GVU) The first game of the 3 game series the Warriors looked unstoppable with Bleezus, Waldorf's mid lanner getting 14 eliminations and 2 assists while only dying 2 times on the Yone. This incredible stat line lead his team to a convincing first-game victory ending with 28 eliminations to GVU's 11. Game 2 would go on to be a long, hard-fought battle lasting 54 a whopping 54 minutes where neither side had any protective inhibitors defending their nexus. In the early game, Carnage00205 would go toe-to-toe versus the newly reworked K'sante and dominate him in the laning phase, showcasing his incredible talent in the early game. Despite Carnage00205's remarkable efforts, Waldorf would lose the bloodbath to GVU with a final score of 32-42, a 74-elimination game! The final game of the 3-game series proved to be too much for Waldorf as GVU would close it out in their favor.
Overwatch
Waldorf's Overwatch 2 team found themselves playing one of the nations best Overwatch 2 collegiate teams from the University of Missouri. (Mizzou). In the first map we see Waldorf rolling out on a new look for the team, with DPS player Felon swapping over to the support role where he showcased a phenomenal Baptiste. And fellow teammates Valid and Koalemos swapping to the DPS and Tank roles respectively. These events would lead to Waldorf winning the first map versus Mizzou 2-1 which brought great spirts to the Warriors as they proved they could take maps off a powerhouse. As Games 2, 3 and 4 went on however Mizzou proved that their resilience and adaptability against Waldorf's best efforts would lead them to win 1-3. Waldorf's Overwatch 2 team will now be looking at next semester, where they will be sure to show their strongest self.
