Women's Indoor Track and Field Set New Records at Moco Mercer Open
DUBUQUE, IA- The Waldorf women's indoor track and field team continued their season in the Moco Mercer Open at the Dubuque-Chlapaty Rec Center this past weekend. The Warriors continued their hot start with broken school records and a couple of personal records.

Eliza McKown (FR/Orono, MN) placed 1st in the Women's 600 with a time of 1:40. McKown's 600-meter time shattered Waldorf's previous Women's 600 school record. Along with McKown's 1st place finish, McKown finished in 5th place with her 4 X 400 Relay team.
"Eliza shattered our previous school record and really ran a perfect race. She was patient and made all the correct moves when needed, just missing the national qualifying standard." -Coach Langrell
Catherine Clarke-Ashford (SR/Snellville, GA) finished in 6th place in the Women's 300 with a 44.51 time. Clarke-Ashford also had a 5th place finish in the 4 X 400 Relay along side with her teammates McKown, Peck, and O'Connor.

Jasmine Bentley (SR/Ankeny, IA) set a new PR with a 9.87m throw in the Women's Weight Throw.
"Jasmine setting a new PR on the weight throw has me looking forward to what she will accomplish in her final year here with us." -Coach Langrell
Miracle Tucker (FR/MN) broke the school record in the Women's 1000 Meter in her first time competing in the 1000 with a time of 3:21.45.
"Miracle's first time running the 1k and she already broke the school record which is a great sign of what is to come as I know there is more in there for her to give." -Coach Langrell
"Overall, this was a great showcase of our current fitness, and we are only going to continue to build from here." -Coach Langrell
