Women have good showing at USD meet

VERMILLION, S.D. - The Waldorf women's outdoor track and field team competed in windy conditions last weekend at the USD Early Bird meet and put in some good efforts.
Brandi Peck had a stellar showing in multiple events. In the 400-meter hurdles, her time of 1:09.70 placed her second all-time in school history in the event. Her time of 29.55 in the 200 meters places her 10th all-time at Waldorf. She also ran a time of 1:05.14 in the 400 meters.
Eliza McKown placed 10th overall at meet in the 400-meter dash with a time of 1:01.69.
Marissa O'Connor is now in the top five in school history in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:38.21. Summer Hayes is now sixth all-time in the 100-meter dash with a time of 14.06.
Waldorf next competes Friday at the Jim Duncan Invite held at Drake University.
