Multiple athletes crack top ten for women's track and field
CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa - Four different Waldorf women's track and field athletes broke into the all-time best list in a meet at Mount Mercy University.
Samantha Adams is a new top ten performer at Waldorf in two events. Her distance of 8.91 meters in the shot put now stands seventh all-time and her discus throw of 28.16 meters now ranks sixth all-time. This marked Adams' first career collegiate meet.
Paige Spatorico had a distance of 9.97 meters in the triple jump. That mark has her fifth all-time at Waldorf in the event. Miracle Tucker's time of 2:40.44 in the 800 meters puts er seventh all-time at Waldorf.
"We had multiple performances just off personal bests in freezing temperatures," said head coach Janna Langrell. "I am proud of how each of these ladies competed and I look forward to our meet this week."
Waldorf competes this weekend at two different meets: the Drake Relays and the Kip Janvrin Open.
