CEDAR RAPIDS, IA - The men's bowling team traveled to Cedar Rapids this past weekend to compete in the Kohawk Invite. Overall, the men placed 10th in the 14-team event. Their overall total was 7097 points.
The Warrior's top bowler this weekend was junior Joseph Walgenbach. He came in 21st place out of 174 competitors. Through five games, he averaged a score of 205.2 with an overall score of 1026. His best game was his third with an impressive score of 259. Not far behind him was junior Noah Ward, coming in 26th place. Ward averaged a score of 202, with a grand total of 1010. His best game was his last with a total of 246 points.
Three other Warriors, Darrell Johnson, Richard Garrett, and Ryan Kaufman all placed just out of the top 50 competitors.
"Once we do a better job of seeing the lane and executing on that plan, our scores will jump up dramatically. We tried a lot of different things to get the right ball motion, but didn't find anything that consistently worked well," said head coach Kyle Swiderski.
The Warriors will travel to Waterloo, IA next weekend to compete in the MIBC Championships.
