Men's Bowling Takes on MIBC Championships

WATERLOO, IA - The Warriors traveled to Waterloo, Iowa this past weekend in order to compete in the MIBC Championships. On Saturday, the men competed in a one day event that held 3 traditional games and 12 baker games. Each team therefore had 27 total scores. Overall, the men placed 4th in the event with a grand total of 5279 points. On Sunday, the men competed in the Conference Final Bracket Play. Through bracket play, the men finished in 5th place out of 8 teams.
The men's top bowler in the individual games was senior Ian Templin. He placed 11th with a game average of 209 in three games, with his top score being 238 in his second game. His overall score was 627. Junior Richard Garret averaged a 3 game score of 206 with his top score coming from his first game with a score of 224. Junior Ryan Kaufman averaged 187.6 through three games with his best being a score of 236 coming from his third game. The team's Baker total was 764, 776, and 839.
The men will continue their season next weekend back in Waterloo at the Cedar Valley Event.
