Shooting Sports Compete at William Woods Spring Invitational

COLUMBIA, Mo. - The Warriors Shooting Sports team competed at the William Woods Spring Invitational this weekend at Prairie Grove Shotgun Sports. Through the cold and windy two-day event, Waldorf had 4 competitors, 2 male and 2 female. Between the 5 schools involved, the invitational held 40 athletes total in competition.
For Trap Shoot, Dominick Weaver scored 72, the highest for the Warriors, alongside Nicole Laes (59), Brianna Myers (47), and Josh Pung (35). The Warriors Skeet Shoot was led by Myers with 79, Pung (78), Laes (76), and Weaver (56) closely following. In the Sporting Clays event, Pung led the way scoring 75, following Weaver (68), Myers (59), and Laes (52).
Coach Mueller touches on the experience at the Invitational saying, "With the win on Saturday afternoon and the cold on Sunday morning, it was tough on the athletes." Looking ahead for the Warrior's, they will head to the Concordia Bulldog Sporting Clays on February 28th, ready to compete again.
