Waldorf Shooting Sports Competes at the Simpson Shoot Out

WAUKEE, Iowa. - The Waldorf Shooting Sports team set off to the Simpson Shoot Out at New Pioneer Gun Club to compete in their final spring season event. The two-day event consisted of 5 teams and 58 total participants. The Warriors competed with 6 total athletes, 3 men and 3 women. Each team participated in Trap Shoot, Sporting Clays, Skeet Shooting, and Super Sporting. On Saturday, the Warriors started the morning competing in Sporting Clays, where Fisher Nagel had the most success, scoring 82. Going into the afternoon, the Warriors set to compete in trap shooting where Jillian Kardoes was the team's highest scorer with 89. Josh Pung and Dominick Weaver followed closely with scores of 86 and 85 respectively.
The Warriors came into Sunday expecting nothing more than that fierce competition they saw on day one. Kicking off the morning with Skeet Shooting, Nagel was the team's highest scorer with 93. With one final event left on the weekend, the Warriors competed in Super Sporting where Nagel again finished with the team's highest score with 39. With such intense competition, the Warriors finished 5th overall with a team HOA of 1,354.
