Women's bowling returns to Cedar Rapids for weekend event

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa - The Waldorf women's bowling team returned to Cedar Rapids for the second straight weekend for an event. This time it was the 5 Seasons Classic.
Waldorf placed eighth in the 13-team event. Mount Mercy won the team championship with Missouri Baptist coming in second.
Paige Harns had Waldorf's best five-game total. She tied for 19th place with a tournament average of 178.4. Her best game was a 221. Heather Viers was close behind with an average of 172.6. She had one game over 200 at 204. Destiny Reed averaged 168.4
"The women put forth a strong team effort," said head coach Kyle Swiderski. "They averaged lower than their goal for the weekend, but stayed together as a group and kept fighting to the end - their 2 best games of Sunday were the last 2."
Waldorf is back in action November 16-17 at the MIBC #2 event in Council Bluffs.
