Warrior Bowlers Compete in Sectionals
ADDISON, IL – The Waldorf Women's Bowling team traveled to the 2025 Intercollegiate Team Championships Sectional Qualifier on March 7-9 in Addison, Illinois. As a team, they finished 18th with a total score of 11341 (after 64 games between two days). Individually, seven Warriors competed in six games.
Tied for 90th out of 215 women's bowlers across the nation, Paige Harns finished with a score of 1132. She is ranked 3rd in Waldorf history for sectionals total.
Emily Tieskotter placed 113th, finished with a score of 1093, and bowled a 266 in her first game. She is ranked 5th in Waldorf history for sectionals total and 3rd for highest game.
Jadyn Collins placed 137th and finished with a score of 1051.
Heather Viers placed 139th and finished with a score of 1049.
Samantha Adams placed 154th and finished with a score of 1033.
Paige Rands placed 162nd and finished with a score of 1021.
Destiny Reed placed 201st and finished with a score of 912.
Coach Kyle Swiderski said, "This was a fantastic finish to the season for the women. They hit their average goal, broke a few records, and were the best version of themselves they've been all year. The coolest thing was a 4-game baker set of 866 which included a 239 followed by at 237. The future looks bright! We're going to miss Heather, Paige Rands, Emily, and Destiny next year. It was great that they all struck or spared on the last frame of their careers."
Three men's bowlers also competed in the individual competition.
Ryan Kaufman finished in 47th place out of 273 bowlers with a score of 1311. He set a new school record for postseason sectionals.
Joseph Walgenbach placed 134th and finished with a score of 1204.
Noah Ward placed 181st and finished with a score of 1148.
Both teams conclude their 2024-25 seasons with the sectional qualifier competitions.
