Bio
Kyle Swiderski took over as the head bowling coach for Waldorf University in the spring of 2020.
In his first season guiding the Warriors, both the Waldorf men's and women's teams advanced to the Intercollegiate Team Sectionals for just the secodn time in program history, with the women finsihing 14th and the men finishing 17th. Warrior bowlers Rachel Dahlin, Marissa Gates, Mara Schmitz, Zoe Czapiewski, Baili Girkin, Andie Albert, and Dakota Savoie all also earned Academic All-American honors from the USBC.
A four-year member of the Warrior bowling team, Kyle was one of the program's top performers both on the lanes and in the classroom, competing all four years at the Intercollegiate Singles Sectionals with a personal-best finish of 43rd as a junior, and was a four-year National Collegiate Bowling Coaches Association Academic All-American.
Kyle holds the No. 2 all-time high career average at Waldorf of 190.27 pins per game for 220 career games, and is No. 7 all-time in single-season average of 191.845 pins per game for 58 games during his sophomore season.
Along with being a standout in the classroom and in competition, Swiderski was a vital part of the Waldorf campus community as he served in the student senate for 3 ½ years and as President his senior year, he worked as a resident assistant for three years, and was a new student orientation leader and campus ambassador. He also was a 3-year member of the Alpha Chi National College Honor Society and a 2-time Resident Assistant of the Year at Waldorf.
Swiderski graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Business from Waldorf in the spring of 2019 and spent the last year as an account install specialist for Prime Therapeutics.
He began coaching working with youth bowlers while still in high school at St. Croix Lutheran Academy in West St. Paul, Minn., and was an auxiliary high school coach for five seasons and an auxiliary grade school coach for seven seasons prior to taking over the Warrior program.
Swiderski also will serve as Waldorf Athletics' Director of Game Management.
