Waldorf Women's Wrestling Compete in the Midland Warrior Open

FREMONT, Neb. - Waldorf Women's Wrestling was back on the mat last weekend at the Midland Warrior Open.
At 103, Waldorf's Alanis Serrano-Rios would go 2-0 for the day, winning by decision (6-0) against Southeast CC's Sandra Gutierrez and by Fall at 2:06 against Friends' Vanessa Tellez.
In the 117-weight class, Waldorf's Jade Heckett broke even on the day, winning her first against Doane's Emily Cano by Fall at 0:46. She would come up short against Sioux Falls' Reianna Ogden by Fall.
At 124, Waldorf's Amanda Durant would pick up a win by Fall at 2:41.
In the 138 class, Waldorf's Neve Barragan won over Sioux Falls' Diann Smith by Fall at 4:47.
At 160, Waldorf's Amaya Lopez won by Fall at 2:00 over Friends' Alexa Etheridge.
For the 207 class, Waldorf's Skyler Bruno would win by Fall at 2:11 against Friends' Angel Lee. She would advance to the 3rd place match, where she would fall short against Hastings Taylor Rickley, finishing her day in 4th place.
The Warriors hit the road to the GPAC Championships on Saturday, March 1 in Crete, Neb.
