Men's golf team places third at NSAAs
LA CROSSE, Wis. - The Waldorf men's golf team placed third at the two-day NSAA Golf Championships hosted by Viterbo University.
Waldorf was in second place following the third day, two shots ahead of the hosts Viterbo. But the climbed into the second spot on Tuesday. Bellevue won the team championship with a team score of 588. Viterbo shot a combined 623 with Waldorf having a 634. Dickinson State (649), Valley City State (698), and Mayville State (699) rounded out the field.
The top Waldorf golfer over the two days was Thomas Houdayer who earned First-Team All-Conference honors with a seventh place finish. He had scores of 75 and 81 for a combined score of 156. Cole Ruckman and Aaron Fleming earned Honorable Mention honors as they tied for eighth overall. They finished two strokes behind Houdayer with a combined two-day total of 158. Tyler Clouse finished in 15th place with a two-day total of 162. Keegan Bronson finished in 22nd with a score of 174.
Bellevue finished with the top four places with Dylan Rodgers claiming the individual crown with a two-day total of 146.
Keegan Bronson was the Waldorf recipient for the NSAA Champions of Character.
