Bio

Coach Dickinson took over leadership of the Waldorf men's wrestling program in March of 2019 as the Warriors head coach.

In July 2020, Coach Dickinson deployed with the Iowa National Guard overseas and the program was under the guidance of interim head coach Maurie Tomke for the 2020-21 season.

A native of Iowa who graduated from Briar Cliff in 2015 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Sports Science and a Master of Arts in Kinesiology and Human Performance in 2017, Dickinson brings coaching experience at the NAIA and NCAA Division I level with him to the mats at Waldorf.

Most recently spent the 2018-19 season an assistant coach at Briar Cliff, where he also served as an assistant from 2014-17.

Dickinson, who has served in the Iowa National Guard since 2008, spent the 2017-18 season as a volunteer assistant for the NCAA Division I wrestling program at the Virginia Military Institute (VMI) before returning to Briar Cliff.

A standout wrestler at East High School in Sioux City, Iowa, Dickinson went on to compete at the NCAA Division II level in college, wrestling at 157-pounds at Northern State (S.D.).

He also spent two seasons as an assistant at his alma mater, East High School.
