Men's wrestling opens season with home dual

FOREST CITY, Iowa - The Waldorf men's wrestling team started their 2024-25 season Tuesday night with a home dual against Graceland at Hanson Fieldhouse. Graceland would get the dual victory, 41-9.

Maybe the most exciting match of the night occurred at 157 pounds. Waldorf's Dalton Thorson wrestled Graceland's Colin Sharp. Thorson trailed Sharp 5-3 after two periods. Thorson fought back to tie the match at 6 at the end. Thorson was awarded the victory based on riding time.
