Waldorf Wrestles Against Morningside in First Dual of the New Year
SIOUX CITY, Iowa – The Waldorf Men's Wrestling team was back on the mat Tuesday night at Morningside University.
In the 149-weight class, Tyler Okada won his match with a decision. During his match, he had five takedowns and one escape, overcoming his opponent 17-12 and scoring 3 points for the Warriors. Morningside finished the dual with a win of 45-9.
Head Coach Ryan Dickinson said, "It was a tough dual. Our guys didn't wrestle to their full potential. It was a good test to see where we are at after the break but now, we have to get back to work."
Waldorf travels to the Spartan Invite on Saturday, January 11.
