Men’s Soccer Falls Short to Broncos

HASTINGS, NE – The Waldorf men's soccer team returned to GPAC play for contest against Hastings College. After being tied at halftime, the Warriors fell 1-2.
Alex Ardura (FR/La Fresneda, Spain) scored at the 23rd minute, off of a corner kick from Lucas Berte (SR/Joinville, Brazil), to give the Warriors an early lead.
With just under three minutes left in the first half, Hastings tied the game.
In the second half, Flavio Bravo (SO/Lima, Peru) saw an opportunity for a shot on goal, but the Hastings goalie was able to stop it.
The Broncos won the game at the 61st minute mark.
Waldorf goalkeeper, Charlie Austin-Ross (SR/Essex, UK) finished the game with three saves.
"It was a great game from the men," stated head coach Thomas Goodman. "I was incredibly proud of the team playing through adversity and playing to the last minute."
The Warriors will be back on their home field for a conference game against Jamestown on Thursday, September 28th at 5 pm.
