Men's soccer falls in opener to Central
PELLA, Iowa - The Waldorf men's soccer opened the 2024 season with an in-state road trip to Central College. A late goal wasn't enough as the Warriors fell to the Dutch, 3-2.
Early in the second half, Ryder Tormaschy scored an unassisted goal to equal the game at 1. Central though scored two straight goals to take a 3-1 lead. Tormaschy scored another unassisted goal late in the contest, but it wasn't enough for the Warriors.
Osvaldo Andrade made 10 saves in net for Waldorf.
Waldorf (0-1) stays on the road for a tilt at Crown College in St. Bonifacius, Minn. Saturday.
