SIOUX CITY, IA – The Waldorf men's soccer team was on the road for a conference contest against the (RV)Briar Cliff Chargers. The Warriors lost 0-7.
The Warriors saw two scoring opportunities early in the first half from Lucas Hanchar (FR/Ontario, Canada) and Alex Ardura (FR/La Fresneda, Spain), that were saved by the Chargers' goalie.
The first goal for the Chargers came at the 27th minute. Their next two goals came in the last minute of the first half, both goals came off corner kicks for the Chargers.
In the second half, the Warriors struggled to get by the Chargers defense to find more scoring opportunities. The Chargers were able to score four goals in the half to win 7-0.
Waldorf goalie, Kyle Pederson (SO/Ankeny, IA), finished the game with nine saves.
The Warriors are back in conference action next week for a game at Dakota Wesleyan (SD) on Wednesday, October 11th at 5 pm.
