FOREST CITY, IA – The Waldorf women's soccer team was back in action on their home turf for a conference game against the University of Jamestown Jimmies. The Warriors looked to make a comeback but fell 1-2.
The Jimmies scored both of their goals within the first seven minutes of the start of the game.
Mikayla Smith (SR/Honolulu, HI) found the back of the net for the Warriors, assisted by Zoe Silovich (JR/Rock Springs, WY) at the 22nd minute mark.
In the second half, both teams saw a few scoring opportunities but were not able to score. The Warriors lost 1-2. Goalkeeper Samantha Linteo (SR/Napa, CA) finished the game with two saves.
The Warriors are back on the road next weekend, Saturday, October 7th for a conference contest against Briar Cliff (IA) starting at 7 pm.
