Waldorf D1 Hockey Fall to Oklahoma at Home

ALBERT LEA, MN – The Waldorf men's D1 hockey team closed out their home weekend series against the University of Oklahoma on Saturday afternoon. The Warriors lost 5-0.
"We expect more from each other," Head Coach Mike Heitkamp stated. "This was not the effort or execution at the level that is anticipated from this group of guys."
The Sooners scored their first goal within the first five minutes of the first period.
In the second period, the Sooners added three more goals. The final goal came in the third period for the Sooners to win 5-0.
Goaltender Nelson Schiiler (SR/Strathmore, Alberta) finished the game with 34 saves.
Heitkamp added, "We have some things to work on as we prepare for next weekend. One of them is our discipline and the other is how we play the game. Kudos to Oklahoma, they were gritty all weekend and played with excitement."
The Warriors will return to their home ice next week for a series against Colorado State starting on Friday, September 22nd at 7 pm.
