Warriors Fall to University of Mary

MANDAN, N.D. – The Waldorf D1 hockey team returned for a second game against the (No. 3)University of Mary Marauders on Saturday evening. The Warriors were defeated 6-2.
The Marauders got off to an early lead by scoring two goals in the 1st period, one on a power-play.
In the second period, the Warriors found the back of the net with Evan Koivunen scoring, assisted by Jake Lindblom.
The Marauders added two more goals in the 2nd period and opened the 3rd period with another goal.
Brett Janssens scored a goal in the 3rd, assisted by Morgan Sweeney, on a power-play.
University of Mary scored their final goal in the last minute of regulation.
Waldorf goalie Jordan Berschiminsky finished the game with 55 saves.
Next up for the Warriors is their final home weekend series for the semester against Midland University. The first game is on Friday, December 1st. Puck drop is at 7 pm.
