Waldorf Warriors Fall to Midland University in Weekend Series
FREMONT, Neb. – The Waldorf D1 hockey team battled the Midland University Warriors this weekend. Midland started off Friday's game by scoring two goals in the first period. Waldorf's Gunnar Vignaroli scored in the second period, assisted by Mackenzie Bolger. Both teams held each other to those goals for the remainder of the game with Midland winning 2-1.
On Saturday, Midland started the scoring with one goal in the first period. Waldorf answered with their own in the first period, scored by Liam Wallace and assisted by Dominic Toews. Midland was able to score five more goals and kept Waldorf to just one, finishing the game 6-1.
The Warriors are back on the road next weekend Friday, January 31 and Saturday, February 1 at University of Mary.
