Midland Edges Waldorf in Overtime

FREMONT, Neb – The Warriors played one of their best games of the season and came up short Saturday night. After a scoreless 60 minutes, Midland's Milan Breczko was the first player to find the back of the net all night for the 1-0 overtime win over Waldorf University men's ice hockey.
Waldorf skated on a power play itwice in the second and once more in the third period of regulation only to be denied a goal. Midland also failed on its two extra-man advantages in the first and third stanzas and sent the game into bonus hockey time. Only 4:04 into the overtime, Breczko hit the put into the next unassisted for the game winner.
Waldorf goalie Gage Reimer was stellar as he saved 50 of 51 shots on goal in 64:04 in the net.
Waldorf ends its regular season at 3-25-2. It will now wait for its Midwest College Hockey playoff opponent for next Friday, Feb. 16, to be announced.
