Waldorf D1 Hockey Outmatched by Minot State
MINOT, N.D. – The Waldorf D1 hockey team returned for a second game against the No. 1 Minot State Beavers. The Warriors lost 13-0.
The Beavers opened the game with an early goal. Minot State added three more goals in the first period, one being on a power-play against the Warriors.
In the second period, the Beavers added five more goals with one on another power-play. The Beavers closed out the game in the third period with four goals to win 13-0.
Waldorf goalkeepers Gage Reimer (FR/Medicine Hat, AB) and Vaughn Holbeche (FR/Lloydminister, AB) finished the game with 32 and 7 saves respectively.
Next up for the Warriors is a home weekend series against Northern Illinois for Parents Weekend starting on Friday, October 20th. Puck drop is at 7 pm with Skate with the Warriors after the game.
