Waldorf down to the wire loss in a thrilling game versus Mount Marty

FOREST CITY, Iowa - In a tightly contested matchup on Saturday night, the Waldorf University men's basketball team fell just short against Mount Marty University, losing 71-67.
Grayson was impressive for Waldorf, keeping his team in the game throughout with his offensive output of 23 points this evening. He was joined by Nick Graves, who added 13 points, and Noah Miller, who contributed 11 points and three assists. Ugo Ejiofor also had a strong all-around game, finishing with 8 points, 14 rebounds, and 3 assists.
The Lancers' offensive firepower proved to be strong this evening, particularly Tash Lunday's scoring effort with 30 points and the solid performances from Mac Ryken (16 points) and Jared Lopez (13 points).
The Warriors fought hard, but they struggled to find their momentum to take the lead. Despite cutting the lead to just a few points late in the game, Waldorf could not make the critical plays when it mattered most.
"We had too many mental lapses throughout the course of the game," said Waldorf head coach Demitrius Martin. "We were still able to give ourselves a chance at the end but came up short tonight. We have to be sharper mentally. On to the next one."
Waldorf returns to GPAC play next week on Tuesday, November 26th at 8:45pm versus Morningside University at home in the Hanson Fieldhouse.
