Waldorf Faces Tough Loss Against Morningside in High-Scoring Game

Forest City, IA– In a hard-fought contest on Saturday evening, the Waldorf Warriors fell to Morningside University 106-58.
Despite a valiant effort from the Waldorf defense, Morningside managed to break the game open early and maintained a commanding lead throughout the contest.
The Mustangs were led by three players in double figures, with senior guard Alex Wilcoxson leading the charge. Wilcoxson poured in a game-high 21 points, showing his ability to score in a variety of ways. Alongside him, teammates Joey Skoff and Aidan Vanderloo added 16 and 10 points, respectively, ensuring that Morningside had multiple threats on the floor at all times.
Waldorf had difficulty finding consistency on both ends of the floor. They were outmatched in the paint and on the perimeter, where Morningside's depth and precision shooting proved superior. The Warriors had flashes of offensive success, but they couldn't string together enough possessions to make a serious run at the Mustangs.
The Warriors will prepare for their next matchup versus Oak Hills Christian College on Saturday, November 30th at 3:00pm in the Hanson Fieldhouse.
