Waldorf Battles Hard but Falls to #8 Northwestern (IA) in 101-80 Loss

Forest City, IA- The Waldorf Warriors showed tremendous resilience and heart in their GPAC matchup against #8 Northwestern (IA), but despite a strong second-half comeback, they fell short in a 101-80 defeat on Tuesday night. After trailing by as many as 22 points in the first half, the Warriors made a gutsy push in the second half, cutting the deficit to single digits before Northwestern regained control in the final minutes of the game.
Coach Martin, while disappointed with the loss, expressed a sense of pride in his team's effort. "We fought tonight. Made some mistakes, but overall, I am proud of our fight tonight. Northwestern is a good team and we are in a really good league. We just have to sustain the fight from tonight and be ready to go again Saturday."
Looking ahead, Waldorf will focus on their upcoming road game in Crete, NE. Where they will compete against Doane University on Saturday, December 7th at 3:45pm.
