BELLEVUE, NE – The Waldorf baseball finished their weekend conference series against Belleuve today. The Warriors dropped both games, losing 4-20 and 0-6.
In the top of the 2nd inning, Juan Jorge (JR/Bronx, NY) got a two-run RBI double getting Ryan Webster (SO/Las Vegas, NV) and Zach Meyer (JR/Gilbert, AZ) to score.
The Bruins went on to score 10 runs in the bottom of the 2nd and then added six more in the 3rd inning.
Anthony Hibl (JR/Sharon, WI) scored the third run for the Warriors in the 4th inning off an RBI ground out from Damien Sanchez.
In the bottom of the 4th, the Bruins added four more runs.
Atticus Smith (SO/Kent, WA) scored the final run for the Warriors from a sacrifice fly out from Hibl. The Warriors lost 4-20.
For the second game, the Bruins scored all of their runs in the bottom of the 6th inning. The Bruins had two back-to-back RBI singles and finished with a three-run RBI triple to win 0-6.
Next up for the Warriors is another weekend conference series against Valley City State next weekend.
