Waldorf Drops 2 Conference Games to Mount Marty

FOREST CITY, IA - Waldorf Drops two close games to Mount Marty on Sunday at home.
Game one posed a final score of 2-1 and game two's final score was 8-1. The Warriors struggled to get the offense, but defense kept them in the game.
Game One:
In a closely contested softball game on April 6, 2025, the Waldorf University Warriors fell just short against the Mount Marty Lancers, concluding with a tight score of 2-1 at Alford Buckley Field. Despite strong performances from key players, the Warriors were unable to secure the win.
Noemi Tudon of Waldorf managed to notch 1 RBI and 2 hits, finding herself at the center of the action. Additionally, Waldorf's Gabby Bierly contributed by scoring a run.
The Warriors' starting pitcher, Reagan Ridout, showed resilience on the mound but ultimately faced a tough loss. Ridout threw a complete 100 pitch game with 4 Ks and 2 BBs.
Gabby Bierly was 2 for 3 with two singles.
Timber Oakes, Jenna Busch, Haley Ehlert, and Kierra Lynn Schulz each had one hit.
Tudon had the only RBI of the game.
Game Two:
The Warriors, led by pitcher Jaycee Plath, struggled to contain the Lancers' aggressive offense throughout the game. Jenna Busch showed a commendable performance by hitting a double and earning the team's sole RBI.
Waldorf was held to just three hits through the duration of the game coming from sophomore Jenna Busch who hit an RBI double, and two hits coming from seniors Timber Oakes and Paige Pierson.
Waldorf will play a mid-week double header on Wednesday against conference opponent Briar Cliff.
