Warriors End Season with Loss Against Viterbo

DICKINSON, N.D. – The Waldorf softball team competed in the second-round elimination game to stay alive in the NSAA conference tournament against Viterbo. The Warriors put up a strong battle but fell 3-6.
The V-Hawks scored first on a Waldorf error and then from an RBI double in the 1st inning.
Emily Muro (SR/Stanton, CA) scored the first run for the Warriors off a V-Hawks error. Alyssa Banda (FR/Bellmead, TX) followed with a ground out RBI getting Gabby Bierly (FR/Eagan, MN) to tie the game 2-2.
In the 4th inning, the V-Hawks took the lead with two more runs and then added a run in each of the 5th and 6th inning.
Brooke Hickey (SO/Adel, IA) came up with an RBI double with Alyah Abrahamson (FR/Browerville, MN) in the top of the 7th, but the V-Hawks won 3-6.
Muro went 2-2 from the plate and Hickey and Banda each had an RBI.
The Warriors finish their season with an overall record of 13-20 and 6-15 in conference.
