FREMONT, Neb. - Waldorf Softball traveled to the #23 Midland University Warriors on Friday.
In Game 1, the Midland Warriors kept Waldorf from scoring and finished the game 9-0.
Game 2 started well for Waldorf with early walks and a passed ball that advanced runners into scoring positions. Haley Ehlert and Kierra Lynn Schulz each scored a run in the second inning, and Jenna Busch hit a home run in the third inning. Busch and Paige Pierson had one RBI each. The Waldorf Warriors held the Midland Warriors to zero runs in the fourth and fifth innings but with the twelve runs Midland scored between the first and second innings, Midland won the game 12-3.
Due to weather this upcoming weekend, the Warriors have postponed their game at College of St. Mary. Their next scheduled game is Wednesday, April 2 against Morningside University in Sioux City, Iowa at 3pm and 5pm.
