Bio
Coach Uhlenhopp joined the Warrior softball staff in the spring of 2021 as an assistant coach and is the current varsity head coach for softball at Forest City High School.
A 2012 graduate of the University of Northern Iowa with a bachelor's in elementary and middle school education, Uhlenhopp also was a baseball player at Waldorf as a freshman in 2008.
Uhlenhopp’s coaching career began in 2009 at Clear Lake High School where he served eight years as an assistant varsity baseball coach. During that time, Clear Lake twice won the Iowa High School Baseball State Championship.
In 2016, Uhlenhopp became the assistant varsity coach for baseball at Forest City High School where he worked for two years, and in 2018 he took over as head coach for softball at Forest City High School.
Uhlenhopp is an instructional coach at Forest City High School, has taught middle school science for six years, has endorsements in math and science, and is working towards his master's in school administration.
He has spent the last two summers working alongside Waldorf head softball coach Lexy Determan, who has served as his assistant at Forest City High School.
Coach Uhlenhopp lives in Forest City with his wife, Molly, and their daughter, Marlee.
