Four Named as NAIA Scholar-Athletes

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Four Waldorf women's basketball players were named 2024 Daktronics NAIA Women's Basketball Scholar-Athletes announced this week.
Earning this honor from Waldorf were sophomore Alyah Abrahamson, senior Lizzie Garza, senior Lindsay Field, and senior Sandra Christian.
To achieve this honor, a student-athlete must achieve at least a 3.5 cumulative grade point average on a 4.0 scale, must appear on the eligibility certificate for the sport and have attended one full year at the school.

The women performed well on the court this season in addition to the classroom. Abrahamson average 4.6 points per game this season. In their final seasons, Garza averaged 10.6 points per game, Field average 3.6 points and Christian averaged 6.0 points.
