SIOUX CITY, Iowa – Waldorf Women's Basketball traveled to Sioux City to play #5 Briar Cliff University on Wednesday night. From the start, the Chargers were successful offensively while the Warriors were slow to get points on the board. Although Waldorf outscored the Chargers in the fourth quarter, it wasn't enough to bring them back, and Briar Cliff won 80-49.
Brooke Dial had another outstanding game with 24 points and 6 steals. Edosa Ogbemudia was aggressive with her rebounding on both ends, coming away with 11.
Coach Shawn Chaffin said, "We got off to a slow start on offense, which makes it tough when you are battling such a talented club. Briar Cliff is #5 in the country for a reason. Proud of the 4th quarter, getting 26 points. Time to get back into the gym to get ready for Saturday."
Waldorf returns home on Saturday, January 18 to compete against College of St. Mary at 2pm.
