Bio
Jamee Swan joined the Waldorf University women's basketball staff last spring for the 2024-25 season.
Swan spent the 2022-2023 season at Otero College in La Junta, Colorado. She helped a new head coach to a 21 - 5 record with a 10-0 conference record working with the post players. From this squad, 4 players made the All-Region IX team. Freshman post player Hedda Kohne was named to the All-Region IX and was the South Region Defensive Player of the Year with season totals of 231 points, 120 defensive boards, 60 offensive boards and 53 blocks.
Swan came to Otero after spending the 2021-2022 season working at Overland High School to begin the inaugural team for Boys Volleyball as an assistant coach. She also worked with the Boys' Basketball team during the 2020-2021 season as a volunteer assistant coach working primarily with post players.
Before entering the coaching world, Swan played professionally overseas in Luxembourg (BBC Sparta Bertrange) in the fall of 2020 where she averaged 31.7 points per game and 15.3 rebounds per game. Additionally, she played in Finland (Vimpelin Veto) during the 2019-2020 season. In 25 games she averaged 12.5ppg, 11.8rpg, 1.9apg, 2.6spg (in top 5) and 2.2bpg that season. Prior to playing in Finland, Swan also previously played professionally in Greece where she averaged 16.0 points per game and 10.1 rebounds per game.
Swan played at the University of Colorado-Boulder from 2012-16. During her time at CU, the Buffaloes reached the first round of the NCAA tournament (2012-13) and to the great 8 in WNIT (2013-14). During that time, Swan was a member of the Honorable mention Pac-12 team both her junior and senior years.
For her career, she scored 1,245 points (22nd in CU history), grabbed 772 rebounds (8th in CU history), and blocked 176 shots (3rd in CU history) in 126 games.
In addition to playing at CU, Swan has worked youth camps during the summer for women’s basketball dating back to 2013.
She graduated from University of Colorado in 2016 with her bachelor's in communications.
