Zach Meyer highlights Waldorf's NSAA all-conference selections

DICKINSON, N.D. - Five Waldorf baseball players were recognized Thursday night as North Star Athletic Association All-Conference selections.
Earning First-Team All-Conference honors was third baseman/pitcher Zach Meyer. The senior leads Waldorf and is third in the NSAA in batting average at .409. He also hit three home runs and drove in 18 runs. On the mound Meyer compiled a 4-3 record in 10 starts and struck out 51 batters over 48.2 innings of work.
Junior Kolby Amaral garned Second-Team All-Conference honors. He leads Waldorf in extra-base hits (21), home runs (8) and runs batted in (39). He's second on the team in batting average at .309.
Senior Ryan Meyer and redshirt-sophomore Ian Carr earned Honorable Mention recognition. On the mound, Meyer leads Waldorf in wins with five and in strikeouts with 67. Carr is batting .303 for the Warriors, has homered twice and has driven in 19 runs. He hit the walk-off grand slam in Waldorf's epic comeback win over Viterbo earlier this season.
Bellevue's Logan Grant was named NSAA Player of the Year and Bellevue's Blake Crippen was named NSAA Pitcher of the Year.
Kade Hobbs was Waldorf's recipient of the NSAA Champions of Character.
Waldorf starts NSAA Tournament play Friday night at 7:00 (6:00 mountain) against Viterbo in Dickinson, North Dakota.
