Waldorf Baseball Falls Short Against Upper Iowa

FAYETTE, Iowa - The Waldorf Warriors were edged out by Upper Iowa with a final score of 7-5 at Robertson Woods Field on Monday, April 21.
Waldorf's standout player, Lucas Romero, delivered an exceptional performance, scoring three of the team's five runs, including a critical three-run homer in the 5th inning that brought the Warriors back into contention. His efforts also included three RBIs across five at-bats. Joining him in key contributions was Seth Mifflin, who doubled and drove in a run, while Tyler Wytulka's double in the 6th added another crucial run to Waldorf's tally.
Starting pitcher Brennan Hansen showed promise, but it wasn't enough to secure a win. Despite the loss, the key moments, including Romero's homer and Mifflin's RBI double, highlighted a high-competition game.
Looking ahead, the Warriors are set to return home to celebrate Senior Day on Friday, April 25, at 2 PM and 4:30 PM in Forest City, Iowa.
