Waldorf Baseball Falls to Doane in Day 2 of Weekend Series

FOREST CITY, Iowa. - The Waldorf Baseball team faced off against conference opponent Doane University for Day 2 of their weekend series.
In game 1, the Waldorf Baseball team fell against Doane University, ending with a final score of 16-6.
The Waldorf Warriors saw several individual highlights throughout the game, even as the overall outcome tilted towards Doane. Rylee Rauch, Cameren Rindone, Lucas Romero, Anthony Hibl, Jack Kamalski, Drake Fetters, and Tyler Wytulka all contributed to the scoring with runs. Notable performances included Rauch and Hibl each driving in more than one run, and Romero providing a standout moment with a home run in the 7th inning. Hibl also demonstrated his skills by hitting a double alongside his RBIs.
In game 2, the Waldorf baseball team lost to Doane 11-1. Seth Mifflin made a mark by scoring the only run for Waldorf, with Mason Smith driving him in for the RBI. Despite the scoreline, several individual performances stood out. Mason Smith's effort to fly out to center field, which allowed Mifflin to score, was highlighted as a key moment of the game. Moreover, starting pitcher Chase Becker showed resilience on the mound, facing 26 batters over 5 innings.
The team is looking ahead to their next game on April 18, which will be held against Morningside University in Sioux City, Iowa, for a conference weekend series.
