Waldorf Baseball Faces Tough Matchup Against Morningside in Day Two

SIOUX CITY, Iowa. - On Saturday, April 19, the Waldorf Warrior Baseball team faced a tough challenge at Bishop Mueller Field as they went head-to-head against Morningside on day two of the weekend series.
In Game 1, the Warriors' starting pitcher, Ben Dornseif, delivered a commendable performance on the mound. Offensively, the Warriors were led by Anthony Hibl, Seth Mifflin, and AJ Toulouse, who each crossed the plate to account for the team's three runs. Hibl, along with Mason Smith, contributed the only runs batted in for Waldorf.
While the Warriors demonstrated resilience and effort, they were ultimately overpowered and fell by a final score of 14-3.
In Game 2, starting pitcher Chase Becker took the mound for the Warriors, facing a tough Morningside lineup. The Warriors' offensive efforts were spearheaded by Jack Kamalski, Mifflin, Drake Fetters, and Tyler Wytulka, who all scored runs in an attempt to rally their team. Kamalski not only scored a run but also contributed with a home run and an RBI, showing a commendable performance. Dylan Battye also played a pivotal role, securing another RBI for Waldorf. Despite the efforts, the Warriors ended up falling 8-4 in the final game of the weekend series.
Looking ahead, the Warriors turn their focus to their next game on Monday, April 21, against Upper Iowa in Fayette, Iowa, at 2 PM.
