Waldorf D1 Hockey Signs Levi Gauerke

FOREST CITY, Iowa. - The Waldorf Warriors D1 Hockey Team is excited to announce the addition of Levi Gauerke for the 2025-26 season. Head Coach Ty Prater announced the signing of Gauerke from Castle Rock, CO. Levi comes to Waldorf with three years of junior experience and 114 games played.
Gauerke is a 6'1" left-handed defenseman who is strong defensively and consistent every time he is on the ice. Levi started his junior career with the Provo Predators of the USPHL, where he played 34 games with 3 points. The following year, he stayed in the USPHL and played for the Columbia Infantry. In Columbia, Gauerke played 42 games in the 2023-24 season with a total of 6 points. In his last year of juniors, Levi moved to Canada and played for the Meaford Knights of the GMHL. In his final season of juniors, he totaled 38 games played and had 9 points.
"Levi is a great addition to our defensive unit!" said Waldorf Head Coach Ty Prater. "He consistently makes the right play and is very smart with the puck. In the defensive zone, he always has his man. On offense, Levi always makes the smart first pass and moves the puck well. He's a solid defenseman that can be counted on in any situation. I'm excited to see how Levi continues to develop during his career here."
